1. Medications: Common treatments include antihistamines, decongestants, and nasal
corticosteroids to relieve symptoms like sneezing, itching, and congestion.

2. Immunotherapy: This long-term treatment involves gradually exposing the patient to
allergens through allergy shots or sublingual tablets, helping to build tolerance over time.

3. Avoidance: The most effective way to prevent allergic reactions is to avoid known
allergens, such as certain foods, pollen, or pet dander.

4. Lifestyle Changes: Implementing changes like using air purifiers, keeping windows
closed during high pollen seasons, and regularly cleaning can help reduce exposure to
allergens.

5. Emergency Treatments: For severe allergies, carrying an epinephrine auto-injector
(EpiPen) is crucial for treating anaphylactic reactions.

6. Consultation: Working with an allergist can help identify specific allergens and develop
a personalized treatment plan.

7. Combination Therapy: Sometimes, a combination of medications and immunotherapy
may be recommended for optimal symptom management.

8. Monitoring: Regular follow-ups with healthcare providers are important to assess
treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.

9. Immunotherapy: It’s a permanent fix to allergies, which gradually desensitizes the
immune system to specific allergens through regular exposure. This can be administered
via allergy shots or sublingual tablets, providing long-term relief from symptoms.
